Medium Bolga Baskets 11-12”

These beautiful baskets measure approx 11-12” in diameter and come in a range of colours and designs. The handles are bound with cow hide to make them more comfortable to hold.

They can be used for all sorts of craft projects and other useful purposes!!

They are made by hand by a group of weavers in Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana. The grasses used to weave them grow wild and are gathered, prepared and naturally dyed by members of the group, ready to be woven into a unique, biodegradable piece. The women deal with their finances themselves, so are treated fairly. They also receive a large premium to be spent on community projects of their choice.

Every one is slightly different and may be supplied squashed (as it arrived from Ghana) depending on delivery requirements. They are easy to reshape following the instructions which will be included.
