Your first "Pebble" is a wonderful Gardening Hare!
Officially, according to Claire' pattern, he's a Bunny, but those long limbs and ears just shouted "hare" to me and Claire was happy for me to tweak his species!!
Harris the Hare is a lovely wee chap and I have used Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift yarn for both his body and his clothing - and because he is only small you will have plenty of yarn to knit him some friends so I have included 4 sets of eyes and wires for the body.
I was also thinking a tiny granny square blanket would be nice with some of the left over yarns....
The pattern booklet is spiral bound and includes Claire's detailed instructions for the hare, his pants, vest, socks, shirt, jumper, dungarees and an apron so you can really go to town making him some wonderful outfits. I would recommend using a larger needle (2.5 or 2.75 for his dungarees if you would like them to fit over his jumper)
The rest of the kit is knitted with 2.00mm needles
He has lovely wool stuffing and a small amount of dark brown yarn in case you want to embroider a nose and because he is a gardener I have included a little basket and a card print out of the seed packets included in Claire's pattern so you can make him a set.
And because we like choices, I have also created some Peony Hare kits for you with some alternative colours for her clothing
Each Hare kit includes
- A large spiral bound pattern booklet
- 4 x 25g balls of Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift wool
- paper covered wires for armature
- 4 pairs of 6mm toy eyes (do not use in any products intended for small children)
- pure wool stuffing
- a small amount of brown yarn for nose detail
- small basket
- printed seed packet sheet
