Fingal the Fair Isle Fishy Kit

Oh this has been a fun project!!

I wanted to create some little Fair Isle fish for my Summer at the Seaside Make-a-Long with different colour work options for the bodies and a fun corrugated rib tail. 

I didn't expect the design process to involve chopping the first fish up with a kitchen knife when I couldn't find my scissors but I'm pretty happy with the end result and hope you will be too!

Each kit will make 8 or more little fishies and includes:

BLUE

• 3 x 20g 75/25 Blue Faced Leicester/nylon 4ply mini skeins

TROPICAL

• 6 x 10g 75/25 Merino/nylon 4ply mini skeins

• Pure wool stuffing
• a sea-themed stitch marker
• a printed pattern booklet including multiple colour work charts for the fish bodies and step by step photo explanations for some of the techniques

EXACT SHADES WILL VARY as each batch of yarn is unique

Fingal and his friends are knitted on a 60cm 2.50mm circular needle with the magic loop technique and start with a seamless Turkish cast on at the nose and end with a 3 needle bind off - so there is no sewing up required!!
