Join Jacqui Walker for a fabulous workshop to make a sturdy, stash-busting crochet bag with handles
Skill Level - Confident Beginner
Materials Provided
- 8 x 45g balls of strong carpet wool for the core of your yarn
- a 9mm crochet hook
- a pair of faux-leather bag handles
REQUIRED - as this is a stash buster project you will need to bring up to 500g of your own yarns (or you ban purchase more of the carpet yarn from me)
Jacqui has given us some pointers about what you might need and she will help you on the day to put together the best selection:
“If using dk then 4 or 5 x 100gm balls. Roughly the same for other weights but results will vary depending on how you combine yarns, the thickness of those yarns and what your tension is. Bring more so you have more choices, we know you've got more! 😉 The base yarn provided as part of the workshop is specifically chosen to give structure and heft to your work. You can add any yarn you choose from your stash, any weight (4ply, dk, aran or chunky) and any fibre content (silk to acrylic and everything in between) but my advice is to use yarns from the same colour family for the majority of your stash yarns. Bring more, not less and carry what's left home in your bag ready to make your next one!”
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided or you can purchase speciality coffee from Carmichaels next door
Places are limited to 8 and you are welcome to stay on for Knit Group in the afternoon
Cost including materials £35
If you need to cancel and can let me know at least 24 hours before the workshop then 50% of your course fee will be refunded. In the case of non-attendance the full course fee will be retained - unless someone else can be found to take your place
