Special Guest Workshop with Mandy Moore, designer and tutor based in Shetland
A Happy Accident
Have you ever had an accident with your knitting? Perhaps thrown into the washer by mistake or maybe looking past its best? During this fun class we will be making a felted wool Christmas wreath from waste panels from the Fair Isle knitting industry here in Shetland. We will discuss how to felt the panels to get them to the right degree of felting, we will discuss and see other uses for the felted panels and complete a wreath. Please bring an old wire coat hanger,a sharp pair of scissors (larger ones are best) and any trims you’d like to use. I will supply felted wool pieces and recycled Christmas trims.
Cost £40 pp (includes Knit Group in the afternoon if you would like to stay on)
As this is a guest workshop no refunds will be given unless someone can be found to take your place. In the case of non-attendance the full course fee will be retained.
