The original pattern is knitted with Worsted Weight yarn but we have used 3.5mm needles and my squishy Merino Ultra DK Bookshelf Yarn - and this means that these hens are super-intelligent bibliophiles so please provide yours with plenty of reading material or she may squawk! 

This listing is for:

• 1 x 100g skein of hand dyed 100% superwash Merino DK
  
• 2 x 20g mini skeins of hand dyed 100% superwash Merino DK
• a pair of toy eyes (not suitable for babies or small children)
• in a drawstring organza bag

You will need to purchase your own copy of the pattern 

The exact shades of yellow and red will vary because of the way I do my dyeing
