This listing is for the FULL PAYMENT for my 2024 "Inspired by Heidi" Advent Calendar as I know some of you prefer not to pay in installments

The theme for Locket's Advent Calendar 2024 is the wonderful children's' story Heidi by Johanna Spyri

I loved the story of Heidi when I was growing up - possibly because I watched the TV series after school with my beloved granny rather than from actually reading the book, but it is such a lovely story with wonderful scope for colours for my dyeing, from the bright days in the Alps and Heidi's simple life with Grandfather, Peter and his grandmother to the richer shades of life in Frankfurt with Klara and the Sesemann household.

For 2024 the focus of my Advent Calendar will be on the yarn and the project you can knit with it, so I have increased the mini skeins from 10g to 20g - double the quantity of yarn - and will not be including the daily extras (there probably is a limit on the numbers of stitch markers you actually need!) in order to keep the cost down for you.

The yarn will be 20g skeins of Blue Faced Leicester Wool and nylon blend and will be specifically dyed to work together in one big project.

The pattern I will be including is by a popular and very talented designer (who will remain a secret until you open your Advent Calendar) and was created specifically for an Advent Calendar containing 24 x 20g mini skeins - and it is soooo beautiful - I can't wait to knit my own version!

Each Advent Calendar will contain the following  :

• 24 x 20g mini skeins of hand dyed, machine washable 75/25 Blue Faced Leicester wool/Nylon 4ply with a label saying which part of the book has inspired it, contained in a numbered paper bag

• A printed copy of a stunning knitting pattern written specifically for 24 x 20g mini skeins by a talented and popular designer - but I'm not revealing who the designer is or what you will be knitting!

You also have the option to add a beautiful ceramic hanging decoration to your Advent box which will be designed and made by Aly Hall Ceramics (see options below)
